The Torry Army are delighted to announce that a game has been arranged between a Spanish "Allstar 11" and the Liverpool veterans team which has dominated the Sky TV Sports Masters for a number of years. The Torry Army are the international peña of FC Torrevieja and this initiative is just another way in which this energetic group of fans from all over Europe support their beloved team.

The game will be on the Saturday 29th November with a 4pm kick-off at the Vicente Garcia Stadium, Torrevieja.

It has been  organised  by the Torry Army and Liverpool legend John Wark. He was the PFA Player of the Year in 1981 (succeeded by none other than Kevin Keegan) and won nearly 30 caps for Scotland. For a midfielder his tally of 170 plus goals in 700 professional games is incredible.

The Liverpool squad is detailed below and the total number of games played for "The Reds" runs into the thousands. Many of the players also had great success with other British teams.

 

This is another first for the Torry Army and if successful could lead to further events.

The aim of the supporters club is to raise money to help support the football club now being run by its new board of directors and it is hoped that as many of you as possible will support this event. A particular welcome is extended to all Scandinavian fans especially those who have never been to a game at the recently-renovated stadium.
